Our Cinnamon Rolls are the newest addition to the Pain Au Lait Bakery family, and they have already become one of our most requested items. We start with the same pillowy, enriched dough that defines our bakery — made with whole milk, butter, and eggs — then roll it out thin and spread a generous layer of cinnamon-sugar filling across the entire surface. Each roll is tightly wound by hand to create those signature spiraling layers of soft dough and warm spice.
What makes our cinnamon rolls stand out is the balance. The dough is tender without being too sweet, allowing the cinnamon filling to shine. We use Ceylon cinnamon for its complex, floral warmth rather than the harsher cassia cinnamon found in most commercial bakeries. A touch of brown sugar in the filling creates caramelized pockets throughout each roll as it bakes, giving you both softness and a hint of toffee-like richness in every bite.
These cinnamon rolls are baked fresh in small batches at our Freeport bakery and sold by the dozen.
